Bridge burning is an #ancient art of #war. The #charred #ruins gives people something to stare at and to #gossip about. It usually takes longer to build it than to burn it down.
Once burnt to a crispy ash it can create employment for hundreds of people to rebuild. Usually its stone and concrete after the flimsy twine bridge is burnt. Although concrete, stone and rebar is stronger, it too can be burnt to a fine powdery ash. All you need is Jet fuel.
