CBC News – Money – Syncrude pays $3M penalty for duck deaths. wow, only 3 million for hunting thousands of ducks out of season with an Oily duck trap. cheep cheep as the chickadees say.
with the barrels of profits oozing from the tarsands, the oil companies should be able to have 2 to 5 duck trappings per year before it hurts the bottom line corporate profits.
And it may be more  than 5 per year if they can get their accountants to figure out how to turn those fines into tax breaks! all it should take is a little bit of lobbying. . .
Alberta, where corporate bottom line profits come before EVERYTHING!

just ask the two out of 2 non-voters if you do not believe me.
