Roomy Remand Centre | Andrew Hanon | Columnists | News | Edmonton Sun.

The old remand center holds 600 people. This New remand center is built to hold 2,800 people. Who are the 2,000 more people Edmonton plans to put in jail? The Poor? The homeless? Speeding drivers? Anyone who gets uppity and questions thier property tax bill? 2,000 more places for prisoners? Maybe it’s for any media that mention Dave Dowling is standing up for election for Mayor of Edmonton in a positive way?

Bigger jails, when the focus should be schools, infrastructure, and solving poverty.

Oct 18 is the last chance to vote for 3 long years.
